The biggest expense of any building project is labour. Orson Labour allows you keep track of all your project labour costs.

It has a timekeeping module where timekeepers can very quickly and easily enter employees hours.

It has a employee section where you can keep track of all details of an employee, such as address, contact details, National Insurance number, work visa seen, ... You can also track details of the safety courses each employee has attended and when.

The main part of the program allows you to enter records of where each employee worked on the site on a given day, for how many hours they were there and what they were doing. This data is entered in easy to enter forms.

This data allows the powerful report engine in the program to function. Once the work records are entered you can run reports to see

any days a worker has been missing, ie clocked in but not working.
The costs for a particular section of the site(maybe for comparing estimated costs)
costs for a certain trade in a certain time period(calculating the value of external labour)
costs of a certain gang of men(who may have been working for someone else)

or any number of reports you could wish.

It keeps track of where men are working on site and allows you to see whether certain men are frequently unaccounted for.

This program is very unique and we are not aware of anything that operates in the same way. Its key benefit is in the huge amount of variation work that most subcontractors have to do on a project. Typically after this work is done there is no way to prove the cost of this work, by using this system you can calculate the exact cost and prove exactly how.
